Audio Theatre Workshops

Advice from Tony Palermo

I've created an educational workshop program where students, in two hours produce a full length radio drama--from audition to recording. The participants perform all the dialogue and live sound effects.

I developed this program for the Museum of Television & Radio Drama Workshops family education series, conducted weekly in New York and Los Angeles. I wrote all the scripts and scores and assembled and re-furbished the manual sound effects devices. Here, kids, aged 9-14, rehearse and record radio dramas using vintage sound effects devices from NBC and CBS.

I retain the rights to all my scripts and scores and conduct these same workshops for schools, colleges, libraries, museums, professional radio drama conferences and private parties.

You can also arrange to make use of my scripts and scores, see my Radio Workshop Repertoire page.
