Tony Palermo (also known as SPARX) is a radio playwright, radio drama director, composer, engineer, sound effects artist and educator living in Los Angeles, California. He operates this website, RuyaSonic.com, selling radio and stage-plays, musical scores and sound design tracks. His original radio- and stage-plays get 300 productions per year--around the world--on-stage, on-air, on-tours, and at theaters, colleges, schools, and churches.

Since 1996, Tony has been writing, directing and scoring radio plays for public radio, the Museum of Television & Radio in Los Angeles (now called the Paley Center for Media), the United Nations, on-stage, in film and audio recordings.

Tony Palermo has done over 2500 shows, on-air, on-stage, and in-studio, including live, nation-wide broadcasts. Genre-wise, Tony's done everything from super-heroes to soap operas, Shakespeare to detective shows, comedies to kitchen-sink melodramas, Brecht, Arthur Miller, from Tom Stoppard to Neil Simon, as well as westerns, horror, and science-fiction. Tony also hosts an educational section of the RuyaSonic website focused Radio Drama information--the creative aspects and nuts & bolts of radio drama production.
